Best Crab Cake: Palm Beach Grill

The Palm Beach Grill is owned by the Hillstone Restaurant Group. For those not familiar with the name, Hillstone owns and facilitates all Houston's restaurants across the country. If you have ever been to a Houston's then you already know, no one operates a restaurant better than the Hillstone Restaurant Group. The food at Houston's is always consistent and always delicious. The Palm Beach Grill located in Palm Beach, Florida is a step up from Houston's serving the best crab cakes that I have tasted. Real chunks of crab meat lightly breaded and seasoned to perfection, served with a homemade honey mustard sauce which melts in your mouth. Other recommendations to order at the Palm Beach Grill (When available: Stone Crabs, Banana Cream Pie)

Best Hot Dog: Kensington Kosher Deli, Great Neck New York

The hot dog is my favorite food group. Put me on a deserted island with nothing but Kensington hot dogs and I will survive! No water needed the juiciness that spills from these dogs will keep my palette moist for years. Ask Pauly to serve you up a well done hot dog with mustard and sauerkraut or "one with," as the regulars say. What makes these hot dogs special is the casings they are made in to give you that snap when you bite into this goodeatz pick, for best hot dog.

Best Hamburger: JG Melon, Manhattan New York

Okay nothing beats this classic juicy all American hamburger! It is by far the best hamburger meat around. The burger is served up on a simple bun with sliced red onion and pickles on the side. The bacon cheese burger is how I like to order it but you can't go wrong anyway you want it. I highly recommend treating yourself to a side of their delicious cottage fried potatoes to compliment this goodeatz pick for best hamburger.

Best Skirt Steak: Frank's Steaks, Jericho New York

The skirt steak at Frank's is the signature dish to eat! Not sure what they marinate it in but it is tasty, great with the homemade mashed potatoes and sauteed onions. An excellent dish to start with is the Frank's salad with gorgonzola cheese and the best creamy balsamic dressing I have ever had. Other items on the menu are good nothing outstanding in my mind but the atmosphere is different. A very casual youthful place to eat with crayons and butcher paper table coverings for you to draw on or play a little game of hangman while you eat. Frank's has three locations; Jericho, Rockville Centre, and Rye Brook.

Best Prime Rib: The Pioneer's Saloon, Sun Valley Idaho

Idaho is not just for potatoes any more. The Pioneer's Saloon is serving up one of the thickest, juiciest cuts of prime-rib known to man. To be expected in the land known for its spuds, the baked potato served with this beast of a chop is untouchable, as its nearly the size of your head. This is the perfect place to recharge with a hearty meal, after a long day on the slopes.

Best Porterhouse: Peter Lugers Steakhouse, Brooklyn New York

I have had the good fortune of being able to dine at some of the best steakhouses around. The Porterhouse at Peter Luger's of Brooklyn and Great Neck is #1! This is a place for people who love steak steak steak! The service is quick and to the point. Bring your appetite, Luger's is not a place to wine and dine. Forget Morton's of Chicago, Sparks, Ruth's Chris, Rothman's (awful), BLT Prime, and my personal favorite to NEVER compare to Luger's...Wolfgang's!! I have had them all. Yes the steak is amazing if you are used to eating at Applebee's. Peter Luger Steakhouse is the "best of the best!" These are my thoughts as a steak lover, please comment on yours!
